Her Compere skills have accumulated through a broad mix of career experiences. In the 1990s she was working professionally in improvised Dinner Theatre, comedy corporate themed events, as a Presenter/ Actor for Television commercials and was the main gaming floor MC for Sky City Casino in Auckland.

In later years she expanded into corporate work as a Trainer, Coach and meeting Facilitator / Moderator. Her more recent work since 2014 is as Radio Broadcaster for Fine Music 102.5 to express her passion for Classical Music, Opera, Ballet, Film music and Musical Theatre.

As MC, Annabelle offers a strong sense of structure
which is easy for both crew and audience to follow
laced with wit, charm and an infectious sense of humour.

Flexible Compere style

From formal occasions such as Awards nights and ceremonies through to spiritual weekend workshops and outdoor events, Annabelle is adaptable in the way she presents. The style and method can change to fit your Event branding, your overall objectives and the audience dynamics in the moment.

As a Story teller

What often makes an event or conference memorable is not the facts you give them but how you integrate those facts in their minds through the use of stories. Work with Annabelle on the key points you want your audience to take away and allow her to bend the stories around those points for extra impact.

For Music and Theatre Concerts

From many years working behind the scenes as well as out front in show business, Annabelle is very comfortable in a theatre setting. With extensive knowledge about music, dance and theatre she makes the ideal host for your Music or Theatre concert.

From children through to the sophisticated audience she can fluidly move between educating and entertaining. Her presentations set the scene engaging the audience whilst demonstrating a respect for the culture, writers/composers and performing artists.

She’s the face of your Event Branding

Building a strong Brand Identity in the weeks or months leading up your event or conference is the best way to boost ticket sales. As the face of your event Annabelle can not only lead your audience through the proceedings on the day but is available for promotion and advertising you can use on your website, in brochures, radio, TV, magazines, mail campaigns, mainstream and social media platforms.

Here’s some examples:

A standard styled video promotion which was used on a number of digital platforms in conjunction with a series of radio ads, brochures, print publications and social media over a 3 week period.

A more fun, casual promo of two simultaneous events (Willoughby Symphony and Andersen Viana film music special) promoted on social media for 48 hours which was also very popular.

When Events go wrong

If the event is going well and your audience is already attentive, you can pretty much sit back and let the event run itself. However, the joys of show business and live events mean that often things don’t go to plan. Equipment can fail, stage fright, crazy weather, artistic temperaments… there are many ways your most impeccably prepared plans can fly out the window with the unexpected. That’s when you need a professional on the job.

Annabelle Drumm has the improv skills to pick up the pieces and carry the show till it’s back in shape and running smoothly again. Sometimes the audience don’t even notice the glitch.

She’s here to make you look good

Whether you are in charge of producing the event or need to make guest Speakers look like rock stars Annabelle’s extensive experience and unique people skills can calm the nerves and bring out the best in everyone involved. A successful event is a win win situation.

It’s always her goal to make presentations where everyone leaves smiling, knowing they got the best result possible.
